The Stairmatic is a powerful battery powered mobile stairclimber which is used to move people with a disability or mobility problems up or down steps and stairways seated in a dignified and comfortable way. The Stairmatic is an attendant controlled stair climber, the attendant presses a constant pressure type button on the handle bar. The Stairmatic is held in balance and powers up to 130 kgs (20 stone) up and down the stairway. The safety brakes automatically sense and stop at the step edge.
